Lincoln Ingravalle

Analyst at Energy Australia, UNICEF Australia Young Ambassador

May 2025

Lincoln Ingravalle is a business analyst at Energy Australia. His work involves exploring digital solutions, improving cost-saving efficiencies, and using data and innovation to drive change. Outside of work, Lincoln is committed to advocating for climate justice and youth empowerment. As a UNICEF Australia Young Ambassador, Lincoln works to make the voices of Australia’s youth heard in policy development. Lincoln also has extensive experience of working in rural Australia, which equips him with insight into the climate challenges faced by regional Australians. He is the co-chair of Gippsland Youth Spaces, a youth-led initiative that aims to build community resilience by providing activities and opportunities that help grow the skills and experiences of the region’s youth.

In 2020 Lincoln witnessed the black summer bushfires in Gippsland in Victoria’s east, where he is from. The catastrophic fires made him realise the importance of building community resilience and how, after a natural disaster, young people in the affected areas need to be connected, access services, and return to normal life as quickly as possible. The impacts of some disasters are long-lasting and take a lifetime for affected residents to recover from and so part of Lincoln’s work has been to push Australian policymakers to support rural communities.

The Gippsland region has long had a thriving energy economy. These days, local and state governments along with industry are exploring the development of offshore wind, retiring ageing coal-fired power stations, and transitioning workforces to clean energy. Energy Australia, the company Lincoln works for, is building a large battery in Latrobe Valley to help to supply power during peak hours.

Lincoln says, “As far as action on climate change goes, everyone can do something small, and by engaging as much as possible, all the little things will come together to make a real impact.”
