June 2024 Multi-Sectoral Roundtable:
Better Futures Australia's second multi-sectoral roundtable of 2024 convened leaders from several sectors to explore recent achievements and current opportunities for working together to accelerate climate action in Australia.
Plans for the September Better Futures Forum were discussed, focusing on themes like electrifying the future, climate readiness and resilience, and the wellbeing economy.
Climate policy advocacy priorities were explored, including: the National Urban Plan, Transport Roadmap, nature-based solutions and alignment of national climate and biodiversity strategies, supporting science-based targets in local governments, climate adaptation and resilience plans, and COP31 partnerships.
