What is the Better Futures Forum?

The Better Futures Forum is Australia’s largest multi-sectoral forum on climate. The Forum brings together community voices, sector innovators and policymakers from across Australia and across sectors.

Better Futures Australia will host the Better Futures Forum 2024 in Canberra, September 10 - 11. 

This year, the Forum aims to catalyse significant advancements in Australia’s climate policies and targets by bringing together a diverse group of leaders during a key Parliamentary week. The Forum will spotlight successful climate and clean energy projects that show how local initiatives can impact national climate policy.

The dynamic two-day event features inspiring climate champions across all corners of society.

Program Focus:

  • Day 1: Exploration of how Australian communities, local industries, and subnational governments are spearheading the transition towards a renewable-powered, prosperous, and resilient future.
  • Day 2: Exploration of global opportunities, highlighting Australia's potential for leadership in the clean energy transition and other climate initiatives, emphasising the bid to co-host COP31 with a Pacific Island nation.
