Mariana Panuncio-Feldman coordinates WWF-US' efforts to accelerate climate action by state and non-state actors to close the global climate ambition gap, including the global coordination of Alliances for Climate Action (ACA). Prior to this position, Mariana served as WWF’s lead for climate change mitigation and adaptation in the Latin America and the Caribbean region (LAC); director of WWF’s offices in Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Peru; strategy leader for WWF’s Amazon Biome initiative; and manager of a tri-national program that conserved more than 24 million acres of protected areas and indigenous territories in Bolivia, Brazil and Peru. Before joining WWF, Mariana worked for The Summit Foundation, The Nature Conservancy. and a network of peasant organizations in Peru. She is originally from Argentina. For the proposed project, Mariana will lead on activities related to the Global Alliances for Climate Action.
