John Mabb

Senior Environmental Project Officer of Logan City Council

John Mabb has worked for eighteen years across four local governments in South East Queensland on the topic of climate change adaptation and mitigation. John has working experience in mitigation topics such as policy and strategy development, carbon accounting and energy management, energy audits, project management, community engagement and advocacy. Likewise, his experience in adaptation topics includes coastal hazards asset identification, risk analysis, science communication, land use planning, and climate change impact statement for project development. 

John is a published author of his physics masters thesis on the topic of Modification of Atrium Design to Improve Performance, and he has tutored at TAFE on Energy efficient building design. Collaboration is a core objective of his, demonstrated clearly in his long term involvement with the SEQ Greenhouse and Energy Professional Officers Group, as well as the newly established SEQ Climate Resilience Alliance.
