David Barnden is the Principal Lawyer at Equity Generation Lawyers. He represents the 8 children in the landmark Sharma case, which recently established that the Federal Environment Minister owes Australian children a duty of care to not cause climate change harms. He is also representing Katta O’Donnell in her novel claim about climate change risks to sovereign bonds. Prior to establishing Equity Generation Lawyers in 2019, David was a principal lawyer at Environmental Justice Australia.
