Chloe Hicks

Director of Energy Infrastructure and Zones, NSW Government

Chloe is a public sector leader with over 8 years’ experience in the NSW Government delivering energy, water, and climate change policies, including the 2020 Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and enabling legislation. As Director, Energy Infrastructure and Zones, she leads delivery of Australia’s first coordinated Renewable Energy Zones, establishment of the Energy Corporation of NSW, and implementation of the Pumped Hydro Recoverable Grants, Emerging Energy and Case Management programs.

Chloe has postgraduate qualifications in policy, business and public sector management and is a Fellow of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership. She is passionate about ensuring energy infrastructure is developed in a way that benefits regional communities, and was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2020 to study world-leading models for Renewable Energy Zones implementation.
