Alice Woodruff is director of Active City, a practice which develops strategies that encourage people to use sustainable travel options to specific destinations, precincts, or at a city-scale. Alice works with organisations and communities to co-design and deliver projects that encourage people to walk, ride or catch public transport instead of driving alone to workplaces, hospitals, schools and town centres. Alice’s practice integrates behavioural insights with transport planning, place making and organisational change. Alice has been a transport consultant for over a decade. Prior to that she worked with the Victorian Department of Transport; her early career included environmental policy and program roles with the Australian Government.
