Professor Anthony Burke

Professor of Environmental Politics and International Relations at the University of New South Wales

Anthony Burke is Professor of Environmental Politics and International Relations at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Canberra, Australia. He is convenor of its Environment and Governance Research Group, and a Senior Fellow of the Earth System Governance Project. Prior to joining academia he was a human rights activist on Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, and a research officer for the Australian Senate’s environment, arts and communications committee, where he led the drafting of reports on the Jabiluka uranium mine and Australia's response to climate change.
