Aimee Mehan is descended from First Nations in North West NSW, with bloodlines to Gomeroi, Anaiwan and Dunghutti Nations and has worked across Arts, Business and State Government. Aimee collaborates with her Mob on Country (The Mehi Centre), and with CANA small grants program and Indigenous People’s Organisation Australia. Her new startup venture Mine the Sky aims to reverse the view that humans make the smartest technology.
Currently testing interest in a household prototype to regeneratively drawdown carbon with nature and fire, Aimee draws on the numerous Western Science studies of biochar and its relationship to cultural burning that has been used for thousands of years by several Indigenous cultures.
