Research Fellow at Urban Innovation Connected Cities Lab

Dr Paris Hadfield is a Research Fellow in Urban Innovation at the Melbourne Centre for Cities of the University of Melbourne and has spent the past six years researching urban climate policy and energy transitions.

Her PhD research identifies how local government and community organisations in Australia, the UK, and Sweden are financing renewable energy development in new ways. This research highlights how financial innovation achieves socially inclusive outcomes.

Paris leads an action research project with the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy and Ironbark Sustainability on city climate action, research, and innovation priorities at a regional scale, globally, to inform the Innovate4Cities climate research and action agenda.
