Dom Courtney is the Executive Officer of Outdoors Queensland – the Queensland peak body for outdoor activities whose vision is for a world where the outdoors is a vital part of healthy lives, and mission is for all people to have opportunities to make connections to Queensland’s outdoors. Dom is also the President of the Outdoor Council of Australia and is a board member of the Active Queenslanders Industry Alliance – Queensland’s workforce support body for fitness, sport and recreation organisations. He previously worked in recreation and property management with local government and state government agencies, after leaving a career in construction.
Dom is passionate about access to outdoor spaces and places and believes that the best way to create more advocates for nature is allowing people to connect to the natural world through appropriate activities in appropriate places.
