A moment for all Australians to drive national climate action
Join us for conversations with leading voices to discuss the opportunities that a society and economy-wide approach to driving ambitious climate action offers.
Several themed sessions will be spread across the three-day program, held in a dynamic ‘virtual’ space featuring plenary sessions, lightning talks, interactive workshops, exhibits and entertainment across a number of stages.
Session times will run 9:00 - 10:30; 12:00 - 13:30; 16:00 - 17:30 AEST each day and the full program will be released soon.

Tuesday 17 August | Ambition for a healthy, prosperous zero emissions Australia
Climate Champions across society and the economy will present ambitious climate commitments that will keep the 1.5C temperature goal within reach. We'll hear from leading voices across Australian industry sectors, government and communities about opportunities that a society and economy-wide approach to driving ambitious climate action offers. Conversation will explore approaches to meeting climate commitments, including:
- the massive opportunities of cheaper renewables, energy storage and renewable powered industries;
- the road to affordable electric vehicles and accessible charging infrastructure;
- tools and support to help foresters, farmers and ecosystem managers enhance nature-based climate solutions;
- collaborative steps to creating climate-resilient food and water systems; and
- steps to creating healthier, climate-resilient and prosperous cities and regions.
Wednesday 18 August | Short-term actions and opportunities
Representatives across industry sectors and communities will share collaborative, real-world opportunities to transition businesses, farms, cities, regions and communities to zero emissions and prosperous futures. Conversations will identify ways to work together to scale clean energy, transport, infrastructure and nature based solutions and steps to create zero emissions supply chains across the economy.
Thursday 19 August | The road to Glasgow: Together, we can do this!
Australia has the abundant clean energy, tools and talent to get this done. The final day will identify how government, private sector actors and communities can work together to support further action across all corners of society and the economy, and what this means for Australia's ambition and role in the global climate change negotiations.
